If you received a letter or an email from one of our students, then you know about his/her commitment to race in AFA's annual Read-a-thon!
From February 8-17, students in Jr. Kindergarten through the 6th grade will build a "Mountain of Minutes" by reading as much as they can in order to beat Ad Fontes Academy's school record of 147,920 total minutes read in the Read-a-thon.
With a little encouragement from teachers, classmates and supporters like you, it’s phenomenal what our children can accomplish!
By supporting this year’s Readathon, your tax-deductible gift will also help fund needed staff and resources to grow AFA’s Learning Center, which enables AFA to come alongside students in need of academic support at all grade levels.
Learning Center students receive academic tutoring, develop learning strategies, and build organizational and study skills in individual and group settings. All AFA students will benefit from these vital staff members and resources during their AFA education.
If you choose to support a young reader, you can give a specific amount or you may choose to check on the reader's progress throughout the race, then match every minute of their reading with a nickel, dime or a quarter.
Whatever you choose, your support will inspire a young reader at AFA!
